The company Ferrier & Soulier, founded in 1859 by Claude-Marie Ferrier (1811–1889) and Charles Soulier (1816–1886), specialized in the production of stereoscopic views.
Soulier’s glass plates depicted a wide range of subjects, including landscapes, monuments, urban scenes, and historical events.

Stereoscopic glass plates were considered high-end products, visually superior to paper stereographs.
Though heavier and more fragile, they offered greater image quality and a more immersive viewing experience.

Today, works by Ferrier & Soulier are regarded as collectible pieces.
