Carl Julius Herman Salzwedel (1834-1915) was a German photographer who arrived in Java around 1877 partnering with Dutch photographer Isadore Van Kinsbergen for a year in Batavia. By 1879, Salzwedel had opened his own studio Salzwedel & Company in Surabaya working with H. Versnel. About 1885 Salzwedel sold the business and retired with the new owners continuing until 1913 using the Studio Salzwedel name.Format du carton: 31,5 x 41 cm
