Antoin Sevruguin was a photographer active in Iran during the Qajar dynasty.
He studied painting, then returned to Iran around 1870, opening a professional photography studio in Tabriz and later in Tehran.
He received medals of honor at the World's Fairs in Paris and Brussels.
Part of his work was destroyed during the reign of Mohammad Ali Shah (1907-1909), when the parliament was bombed and he had to seek refuge in the British embassy. After the fall of the Qajar dynasty, the remainder of his photographic plates were confiscated by Reza Shah Pahlavi. Today, of the 7,000 photographic plates he produced, only 696 have survived.
